I'm a long-time point a shoot camera guy who is interested in taking the plunge and getting a nicer DSLR camera with full 1080p video support as well. The 2 cameras I'm looking at are the Canon T2i and the Nikon D3100 (both at pretty good prices at Costco, and both have what appear to be good starter packages). Any recommendations out there? I'd prefer ease of use, and intend to take advantage of both still photography as well as HD video. I also know that getting the right lenses is important, though I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to all that.

Every year I make presents for people. I love it and even though it can cost just as much as store bought, it's just something I do.

Does anyone else make presents for Christmas? I'd love to hear about them. And post pictures if you can! And links to directions!! Thanks.

Best could mean favorite cause, best use of donations, most good done. Where do you like to donate and what do you donate? Time, money, goods?

Does anyone else think that Santa sounds a little creepy? Let's think about the facts for a second... He knows A. If you've been bad or or good, and B. If you are sleeping?!?!? that seems a bit odd, for an eternal-lived saint to be knowing exactly what your kids (or you if you're a kid) are doing... Let's see, bribing children to improve their behavior... Also, teaching them that if you're good for the month or two before a reward, and just cover all the bad things you did before, you'll be treated like a saint? Just wondering your personal thoughts on this matter...

Interested in comparing people's favorite books of all time. Mine include David Mccullough's John Adams, the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Odd Thomas (series) by Dean Koontz, and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Tell us about the books so that we can enjoy them, too.

You know what I mean. The little things that people do that are totally wrong. Like picking their noses at traffic lights, not putting down the toilet seat or taking to long to pick from the menu at McDonald's I mean what the heck, it's the same stuff every time you go and they have pictures so what's the problem?
