  As long as everyone is on here having a good time, Splore would like to announce a photography contest. (There will be more contests, so check back!)

  Post your best seasonal photo to this Splore between now and December 26th (winter, family tradition, Christmas, holiday foods, etc.). On December 28th, the photos will be presented to a panel of judges. Although the judges will take into account framing and lighting and other elements of style, ultimately, they will choose the winner based on the photo that "captures the season best."

  Rules: (1) send original photos which you personally took. (2) Post them to this splore by midnight of December 26th. (3) Each user may post up to three photos. (4) If you want to change one for a different picture, go ahead--up until the contest closes at midnight. (5) Do not post anonymously if you want to win. (6) Photoshopping for enhancement is allowed, but the photos should not be significantly altered or "faked."

  The prize is a $20 Visa gift card. Please invite your facebook friends to come see your photos and submit their own by clicking the link "invite others to join" and posting this splore to your wall or inviting friends individually.

  Challenge #3: Another simple challenge to establish some skills as this gets further along. The challenges will get more interesting once some skills are established.
  Make a small video which has a turtle (real not required) and a barbie doll. Be creative if you want. Submit it to your YouTube account. Then post the link in the Challenge #3 Splore. http://www.splore.com/splores/307

  Challenge #4: Create a NEW Splore and recruit people to it.
  This one is difficult, but you can be working on this one while you do the other challenges. You need to create a Splore on a topic of your choosing, then the difficult part, get 15 NEW (not previously registered to Splore members) to sign in and join your Splore!

  What's your weather like? Post a picture outside where you live to show us your weather. Have something in the picture to verify that the picture is from NOW. Post the photos in the Challenge # 5 Weather Splore http://www.splore.com/splores/315

  My wife and I thought it would be fun to have a fun Christmas splore. Check in each day until Christmas for a new riddle, joke or puzzle. Add your own jokes or riddles--other seasonal holidays fine. (If you can find a good kwanzaa one, go for it.) Keep it clean. The submitted riddle or joke with the most "likes" wins a giant Hershey Bar. If you are a kid, have your mom or dad submit it for you. And tell them you get the candy bar.

  No rules, just send your jokes in and hope people like them. Note: the like buttons only work after you officially join the splore. Obviously I can't win, but you can still "like" the daily riddle.

  Post the answers to the riddles if you know them--just make it clear which one you are answering. Oh, and the person who gets the most answers right gets a big candy bar, too. Why not? You can be really smart or just google them or ask a kid. Merry Christmas! (P.S. If you post a Star Wars--Christmas joke or puzzler, I'll click "like" for your post myself. My wife may not.)
