  I am trying to build a cable rig for my 7D video camera. The idea is that I can attach the camera to a platform with pulley wheels and have it runn the length of the cable. This gives the effect that yiu are following the object as it moves through the frame.

  I've been procrastinating getting Lasik eye surgery for many years now, so I can free myself of wearing glasses all the time (near-sighted). I'm no longer concerned about the procedure being too new or risky, and have many friends who absolutely love that they did it.

  Anyone here have the procedure done recently? I'm interested in recommendations on where to go (or not to go), lessons learned, things to watch out for, etc.
